The short version

  • Submit the written refill form at least three business days before you run out.
  • Refills are written only for patients who are current with their scheduled visits.
  • Controlled prescriptions are not written after hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
  • We do not accept medical details or refill requests by email.

Why the visit interval matters

Kentucky requires ongoing in-person or telehealth oversight for controlled medication. Keeping your scheduled appointment is what allows your prescriber to write the next prescription without a gap. If you need to reschedule, call as early as you can.

Pharmacy changes

Tell us your pharmacy name and location when you request the refill. Sending a controlled prescription to the wrong pharmacy delays it by days.

Common questions

How far in advance should I request an ADHD refill?

Submit the written refill form at least three business days before you run out. Controlled prescriptions cannot be back-dated or processed after hours, so early requests prevent gaps.

How often do I need to be seen?

Most patients on stimulant medication are seen at regular intervals set by their prescriber. Your provider will tell you your interval at your visit and it is noted on your after-visit summary.

Can refills be requested by email?

No. ADHD medication refills must be requested through the HIPAA form on this page. We do not accept ADHD refill requests by email or phone.

What if my prescription is lost or stolen?

Use the written refill form on this page. Controlled prescriptions cannot always be replaced, and a police report may be required. We will tell you exactly what is needed.
